Vintage brass and milk glass tension pole lamp. Spring loaded end, this fits almost perfectly in our 9' ceiling... We added a book to make up for height, we've seen a stack of  vintage encyclopedias to do the same trick too! Metal construction, the sconces turn on one or two at a time, switch located on the post.
